Communicate with any other two-way radio using the VHF 136-174 MHz or the UHF 400-480 MHz frequencies, depending on your needs. With the DM-5R, you can operate on the 2m band as well as the 70 cm band.

Repeating Function

Use your DM-5R as a repeater! Bridge the gap in communications by using your DM-5R as a repeater. Tap into your DM-5R, or allow others to tap in, and repeat the transmission further along the radio horizon. Reach new distances with the DM-5R repeater! Perfect for transmitting over the longest of distances.

High and Low Power Settings

Adjust the output level of your DM-5R between High Power (5 Watts), useful when transmitting over a longer distance or through obstacles, or Low Power (1 Watt), which is useful when the target is within range and you would like to save battery power.

Longer Life

With a high capacity 2000mAh battery and featuring an upgraded power-saving mode, and an upgraded standby feature, the DM-5R will be there when you need it. The DM-5R transmits for a total time of 14 hours on a single charge, and will stay powered on in standby for up to 30 hours on a single charge.

Scanning Function

After pre-programming the DM-5R’s 128 channels, you can easily scan through them to find where the conversation is in your area. Don’t waste your time manually searching the bands. Stay in the conversation with the DM-5R’s scanning feature.
